The Shadow's main target -- the Queen Beyond Time, second only to the Creator and guardian of the Knot that holds reality together. She alone has any chance of resisting the Shadow and defending the Knot. Unfortunately, the Queen is the amnesiac young woman found by Beamer, with no knowledge of who she is or of the power she possesses.
Can a small group of peace-loving falliwagns defend her against an all-powerful god -- or will the Knot be unraveled, and the world remade into a hell of eternal pain and damnation?

How to begin, well this is not a bad story, I liked it quite a bit. It seems to borrow ideas from other works. For instance the Falliwagns are a short race, they like to eat and at least one lives under ground with a big circular door. There is a wandering wizard who takes a special interest in the Falliwagns. Sound familiar? There were a few other borrowed ideas. I don't say this as a bad thing, just pointing it out. Secondly, just when something is needed it seems to be handed to the characters. Near the beginning the main character's, Beamer, town is attacked by a dragon. Beamer wishes he had an enchanted sword. Low and behold here comes a Toll carrying an enchanted sword. Of course Beamer gets it and goes dragon hunting. These are all minor, as the story itself moves along rather nicely. The story is interesting and does keep you guessing at times. The ending was disturbing in the way Mr Reeves describe things, I liked the ending chapters because he really took the story to a place you would not have thought it would have gone. I am still trying to figure out if this world is going in circles, I can't explain more without spoiling the story. When you read it you'll know what I mean. All in all this is a good book and even with the borrowing is still a unique story that is enjoyable to read.Product details

I really liked this book. Reeves does a great job of writing this book, and it is a great fiction novel. He weaves an amazing plot with twists and just when you think you know the next thing, he changes it.
Very enjoyable read. Got it just for leisure reading and found it to be very enjoyable. Passed i on to a friend to read.
